Brian was right. Monday was a HUGE day for me. It was my first day back at work and my first day away from Adyson.
Even though I knew she would be safe and happy with Angela (Brian's first cousin), I still missed her greatly and teared up occasionally as I watched videos of her during the day.
I was looking forward to picking Ady up but Brian was already headed to Angela’s by the time I left the office. So, I had to wait 45 more minutes before holding and kissing my little angel. Once they arrived home, Ady didn't leave my arms as we fell asleep on the couch together.
It was hard for this first time mommy! However, I know it's nothing compared to what I will feel on her first day at day care. That's why Brian will be dropping her off for the first couple of weeks.
A quick shout out to Julie Bennett, a dear friend of mine, for some fabulous monogram burp cloths. We go through burp cloths almost as quickly as we do diapers and good ones are gold. Thank you.
